About: Education and Experience

Kati Betters is a Colorado native, born and raised in Fort Collins, and has been happily residing in Denver since 2011. 

 

Kati earned her Master of Science in Acupuncture (M.S. Ac) from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CSTCM) in August of 2014.  This 2,265 hour program, encompassed 525 hours of clinical work in the Student Acupuncture clinic. Kati was trained in adjunctive therapies such as; Moxibustion, Tui Na, Fire Cupping, Gua Sha, Electro-Stimulation, Auriculotherapy, and dietary and lifestyle counseling.  Her degree also includes her certification in Clean Needle Technique from the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM), and a comprehensive understanding of Western/Allopathic medicine, with the 16 courses of required Biosciences. 

Kati received her National designation as a Diplomate in Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac.) from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), in December of 2015, and is a Colorado Board Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac).

 

Kati returned to finish her education in the Chinese Herbal Pharmacology, offering a very sophisticated and personalized Internal Medicine dynamic, and received her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (M.S.TCM), in August of 2016.  This Master's degree included an additional 585 hours of in-class coursework, 90 additional hours of clinical experience in the Student Acupuncture Clinic, and 180 hours of clinical experience in the Student Internal Medicine Clinic. 

Both Master of Science degrees were attained at CSTCM

 

Kati began her Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program at Five Branches University in San Jose, CA in January of 2021.  This program included 675 additional didactic (in-class) hours attended, as well as over 500 practicum hours. Kati was honored to contribute evidence-based research to the field and defended and passed her dissertation in September of 2022, and was announced Dr. Betters.  Kati completed the remaining requirements for this Doctoral Program in December, 2022.

Kati's undergraduate education includes 16 courses in the Holistic Health Professional Department at the Larimer Campus of Front Range Community College and consists of the following certifications:

-Completion of 2 Levels of High Touch Jin Shin (Japanese Energetic Healing)

-2 Certificates of Completion and Attunements in Usui Reiki

-Certified in 3 Levels/Courses from the Healing Touch Program

-In addition to other modalities and courses that cater toward an individual's physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.
